Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 introduces transparency obligations for providers and deployers of certain AI systems. For deployers who publish AI-generated or manipulated visual content, the visible disclosure duties apply from 2 August 2026. No. Metadata and C2PA are useful upstream signals, but Article 50(5) requires the information to be clear and distinguishable at first exposure.
